How to choose a dentist in Los Algodones

There are hundreds of chairs in a few blocks. The town works. The problem is picking your chair before a promoter picks it for you.

This is a checklist. It is not a top-10.

Before you cross

  1. Know the procedure. Implants and All-on-4 are not a cleaning. You want someone who does that work every week, not “also implants.”
  2. Get a written plan from more than one clinic. Same asks: itemized total, brand of implant or ceramic, what is not in the number, warranty in writing, who you call from Yuma if it fails.
  3. Bring X-rays if you have them. A serious clinic will read them before they sell you a chair.
  4. Do not follow a street promoter. They are paid by the clinic, not by your outcome.

On the visit

  • Cédula Profesional on the wall. You can look it up on Mexico’s Registro Nacional de Profesionistas. If they will not give the number, leave.
  • CBCT on site if they will place implants. A flat panoramic is not enough. No scan, no surgery.
  • Named materials. “Good zirconia” is not a brand.
  • The place is clean where you can see it. If the waiting room is dirty, assume the autoclave is a story.
  • No “today only” price.

Red flags

  • A number 50% under the rest of Molar City
  • Deposit before an exam
  • No written plan
  • “We do everything this afternoon,” including All-on-4 finals

Two clinics we will actually name

We do not invent a directory of 350. On this Guide the quote network is two, both in Los Algodones, both Andrade:

Dental Solutions Algodones

Calle Tercera 160, Vicente Guerrero, 21970 · +1 (928) 328-1121 · dentalsolutionsalgodones.com

Dental Del Rio Algodones

C. Encino, 21970 · +1 (928) 315-1345 · dentaldelrioalgodones.com

(No public email on their site. Do not invent one.)

Compare the two

We do not list who sits in the chair. Ask them.

Documents to come back

Entering Mexico on foot at Andrade often has no check. Coming home you need a WHTI document: passport, passport card, enhanced DL, or SENTRI/NEXUS/FAST. A regular driver’s license is not enough. CBP WHTI
